burning white,
buried
deep—

when eyelids do fly open
now kept no more aslumber
by no numb, no-end dream—

here I am
not believing my senses
the mesmerised mermaid
the seductress seduced
sinking — drowning —
the velvety wafts and waves of your voice
let them flow, let them rush,
let them wash me all over —
the silenced one, the subdued —
yes, again, and again,
and again.

I lost Jenny today. I knew one of us would eventualy close their eyes and flicker away, while the other would have to live with this painful loss for a bit more before also passing away. In a twisted way I’m glad she was first, so that she’d be spared the pain of losing [...]
